The brunch look

Midi: James Ferreira
Waist Coat: Guess
Bag: Vincii
Rings: Dubai Flea Market
Cuff: Stylefiesta
Sunglasses: Topshop
Shoes: Toga

It has almost been six months since I have done an outfit post.
I remember being nervous before uploading my first post two years back and believe me I am going through the same feeling right now.
I know you will hardly be interested in knowing why I wasn't blogging, but I will make my thoughts flow anyway:P
An opportunity knocked my door few months back and I couldn't help but grab it.
Before I could realise I was completely into it and since then there is no looking back.
I am now assisting a stylist of a celebrity(no names will be revealed..Sorry!!) and the exposure and the experience is something I want to hold on to foreverrrrrr.
From editorial shoots to ad campaigns to movies I am doing it all.
Its like I have the best of the styling industry.
To sum it up, I am learning a lot, making lots of friends and having fun.

Moving on to my outfit. I wore this for brunch today.
I went to Indigo deli and I must tell you the waffles there are just PERFECT.
I kept my look minimal yet stylish. I wore my Green asymmetrical midi with a denim waist coat, some light jewellery and one of my comfortable pair of heels.

Have a wonderful week ahead!!

The Skater Dress

Skater dress and sunglasses: Topshop
Shoes: River Island
Bracelet: Thrift store
Clutch: Forever 21

I am really excited to post the picture of my newly purchased dress. It is the most feminine dress I have in my closet.
Dressing up this skater dress with a sci-fi shoe is my latest fantasy.
I used to detest any kind of flowy dress.
I must tell you that dresses were on the top of my personal list of 'DON'TS', but I have to admit I was wrong.
This dress has given me the confidence to bend more towards the feminine side of fashion and give a rest to my jeans.

P.s: I am also obsessed with neon lip colors these days. Have been wearing this shade every other day;)

Outfit Details

After my previous post, I wanna keep this post short. My hard disk crashed leaving me with no pictures of my previous cavalcades. The only pictures I have left are these that I am sharing with you'll.

I have realized that shirts are my latest crush. I have invested in so many of them which I am sure you will be seeing in my future posts. This particular dalmatian print shirt has already been worn thrice last week. The sheer fabric of this shirt makes it wearable even when the weather chooses to be warmer than usual.

P.S: Due to the weather in Mumbai, it's time for summer pictures I guess. Please drop in requests if any.

Processed Thoughts

I have recently abstained from blogging because I have wanted to take a few steps back to  question whether I was fit to be a blogger.
I have always seen that the comments of a post are generally filled with a persons opinion about a blog, most are reasonable critiques, but there a few who look to spread some real negativity. As individuals, we all tend to compartmentalize bloggers in our heads as high end bloggers, average bloggers, fat bloggers, too plastic blogger, over smart blogger and the charitable "she is so me!" blogger.
I began to wonder what made the viewers click. Is their reaction dominated by their peers? Are they only viewers for promotion of their own blog? How much does their personality play a role in what they like?
This made me question the areas we segregate bloggers into. If they are plus size bloggers, so what? Does it mean they cannot sport the latest trends? If they buy brands, so what? does this ONLY mean that their dads have too much money. Could we not look at what we learn from them? Every blogger you see, will have their individual style and personality. Some may come across very feminine while some may come across as experimental. Its okay not to like particular bloggers [God knows i do!], but humiliating them is not.

If you go through my blog you will know see that I do wear a lot of brands but it is not because I wanna play safe or crave to be accepted by people. It is because the flea market has no trial rooms. Being a person with a broader figure it is paramount that I am comfortable with the fit of a particular outfit. My jewelry on the other hand is mostly from flea markets because I can try them on, also, the prices of brands do not give me the privilege to buy everything i like :P

Bloggers have their own role to play. Going through their blog can update us about where to buy things from and quite often where NOT to. Even If we do not like a person we should keep in mind that EVERY person in the world knows at least one thing that we don't.

Moving away from my glass of wine which got me carried away, I shall speak of my outfit. I was a little hesitant on wearing a combination of bright colors because I would shudder at the thought of picking up these neon pink pants. It was the centre of attention when I was walking down the road and did get many heads to turn, but I was glad they didn't speak their mind because I know what I would have said just sometime back :P.
On my venture of questioning my compartments I realized that that bright colors are not that bad either. I urge you to do the same.

After all fashion will not be that fashionable unless we change our perspective every once in a while.

Have a nice weekend:)

Mother Daughter series: Blazers

Hello you beautiful people,

This is my first post of 2013(should get used to writing 2013 and not 2012)
I am very excited about this post. This post features my mother who is not only my style inspiration but also my best friend.
I wanted her to make an appearance on the blog long time back but my darling mother felt that she was 'too old' to model. Now, who would say that she looks old. I won't be surprised if you end up calling her my sister.
Though we share a blood relation, we both are complete opposites. I will give you a fashion example. My mother just love loose baggy trousers and I on the other hand prefer fitted ones. She prefers simple jewelry whereas, I have to wear something chunky. My style bends more towards comfort clothing( jeans and sweat shirts, blazers) and her's is more towards feminine. she loves wearing maxi's, skirts and I wear them once in a blue moon. The only thing we agree on is our love for the color white.

You'll might say its because of age difference and all but trust me when I say that my mother has worn clothes from bohemian to avante garde to corporate. You name it and she has tried all the looks.

Well I could go on about this for pages and pages, but, let's keep something for the next post, shall we?;)

P.S: We wish you'll a very happy and a prosperous new year.

Dressy me

Blouse: Vero Moda
Shrug: White Peacock
Jeans: Zara
Cuff: Silver Streaks
Clutch: River Island
Watch: Guess
Sunglasses: Diesel

Last month of the year and this is my first post. I should really learn to be more regular.
Is it too late to make new year's resolution?;)

My December's are characterized by the opportunity to relish the time spent with family, friends, sitcoms and lots of sweets.
But this time, my college has it peculiarized by projects, shoots and preparation for exams!
Making fashion students to study around new years isn't very fashionable now, is it?

Moving on to the outfit, I am wearing my paisley print blouse with a studded shrug and burgandy pants. I kept the accessories simple by wearing nothing but a statement cuff.
This shrug is my current favorite. I have already worn it 5-6 times this month.

P.S: These pictures were taken a month back. My hair looks quite different now. Those who follow me on twitter and instagram will be aware about this change:)
